ELC Election result 2019

ELC elections took place during the annual Members' Assembly of the 42nd ELC meeting in Tutzing, on Wednesday September 11, 2019.  ELC members voted in the elections and we are glad to welcome Professor Alexander Bartelt, Munich, Germany as the new member of the ELC Organising Committee to start his duty as from January 01, 2020.

We thank the outgoing member Professor Ludger Scheja, Hamburg, Germany for his fantastic contributions on the Committee during the past five years and we hope to still have Professor Scheja contributing to future ELC meetings!

Organising Committee members' duties are:

  • fundraising to run the scientific meeting
  • content of the website (www.eas-society.org/elc)
  • deciding the criteria on which the scientific contributions to the meeting are selected
  • selection of scientific contributions to the annual meeting
  • practical arrangements for the scientific meeting

 

Elections 2020

Elections for new ELC Committee members will be held during the Members' Assembly of the Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Lipoprotein Club. The next elections will take place at the 43rd ELC meeting, Tutzing, Germany September 07-10, 2020. There is one position as Organising Committee member becoming vacant on January 01, 2021 and nominations for candidates will be welcome in May 2020. ELC members may vote during the ballot elections to be held at the annual meeting in Tutzing in September, 2020. See Election timetable below.

Nominations welcome from ELC members for candidate for vacant
position in the Organising Committee.

The deadline for nominations will be May 20, 2020.
May 20 - June 30
Organising Committee reviews the nominations and makes a
shortlist of candidates

mid August -  mid September

Shortlisted candidates on ELC website
September 09
ELC members may vote
(ballot elections to be held at the annual meeting)
September/October
The result of the voting is announced on the ELC website.
