EAS Advanced Course - Clinical Excellence in Lipidology in Bucharest, Romania

This 3-day course is organised by EAS and Romanian Society of Cardiology, and is targeted towards Clinicians (cardiologists diabetologists and endocrinologists are the first targeted) and researchers in the lipids field.

Learning objectives:

  • To inform on the epidemiology of atherosclerosis
  • To address the concept of total cardiovascular risk reduction
  • To review present possibilities to optimize cardiovascular risk factors
  • To instruct on proper tools for classification and screening of lipid disorders
  • To discuss the management of lipid profile in specific situations
  • To review contemporary management of LDL-cholesterol
  • To discuss state of the art managing FH
  • To debate in a case based learning format
  • To address special conditions of precision medicine

Participation fees

Applicants will be required to pay in advance a registration fee of 100 € (one hundred Euros) to confirm their place on the Course

What will be provided?

EAS will provide the following (included in the registration fee):

  • Accommodation November 21-23 (2 nights).
    N.B. Participants are expected to arrive in the afternoon on Wednesday November 21 and to check-out before 12.00 hrs on Friday November 23.
    Additional nights' accommodation are at the participant's own cost.
  • Meals as follows (coffee breaks are included):
    • welcome reception on November 21
    • lunch & official dinner on November 22

Travel arrangements

Delegates are expected to make their own travel arrangements. Reimbursement for travel expenses up to a maximum amount of 200 € will be provided.

The organisers will review all the applications we receive and select the persons to be invited. The selection criteria are based on:
• the applicants' statement of motivation and CV
• whether the applicant has attended other EAS Advanced Courses
• at least 1 year must pass before you can be accepted on another course, on a different topic
• at least 2 years must pass before you can be accepted on a course covering the same topic
• geographical region

Application deadline was September 09, 2018.

We will notify applicants on whether their application to attend has been accepted on September 26, 2018.
