Commentary August: Optimal cardiovascular health: also good for the brain

Optimal cardiovascular health from an early age has a beneficial impact on long-term cardiometabolic risk, conferring gains in life quality and survival. Now, results from the Three-City Study (3C Study), a French population-based longitudinal study, indicates that optimal cardiovascular health also benefits cognitive function and risk for dementia in later life. These findings have important implications for the promotion of cardiovascular health; as discussed in this month’s commentary.
