EAS Summer School 2008

Applications for the 2008 EAS Summer School will be available in February. This years program entitled 'Risk Factors and Atherosclerosis' will take place during the week of August 15th-22nd and will be held once again at the Elsa Brandström House in Hamburg, Germany. The Program information and time schedule are posted below.

Risk Factors and Atherosclerosis

Organisers: Ulrike Beisiegel and Steve Humphries

 
Workshop Aims:
To present and discuss the concepts required in understanding and developing research questions and carrying out research in the field of Atherosclerosis.
The topics and faculty leaders for this year will include;
• Risk factors in Coronary Heart Disease - Lale Tokgozoglu, Turkey
• Genetic analysis of Coronary Heart Disease - Philippa Talmud, UK
• Lipid and Lipoprotein metabolism - Ulrike Beisiegel, Germany
• Inflammation, and Cell Biology of vessel wall and plaque - Petri Kovanen, Finland
• Atherosclerosis : Clinical consequences/treatment -Anton Stalenhoef, Netherlands
