The Society uses its resources to encourage scientific excellence, and to strengthen research in the field of atherosclerosis by providing opportunities to young, up-and-coming scientists and researchers to launch or progress their international careers.
Young Investigator Fellowships to attend Congress
These Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis to selected presenters of poster or oral communications, who are aged 35 or under on the starting day of the Congress. They include:

Travel grants to attend EAS Congress
These grants are awarded to selected presenters of poster or oral communications who live and work in countries where funding for travel to international meetings is difficult to obtain.The grants cover:

Young Investigator Awards for the year's outstanding publications
These annual EAS prizes for young scientists are intended to recognize distinction shown by publications that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of atherosclerosis and linked metabolic disturbances. One Prize is awarded for clinical research and one Prize is awarded for basic research.
Each recipient will receive a prize of € 2000 and will be invited to make a short presentation of their work at the annual EAS Congress. The winners of the Awards for outstanding publications 2016 will be invited to present at EAS 2017 Prague.
The candidates must be 40 years or younger on December 31, 2016.
The publications are to be nominated by an EAS member (i.e., who has paid their annual membership fee for year 2016). You may nominate yourself.Deadline for receipt of nominations is February 01, 2017.
