|EAS-FHSC Symposium on FH|
Symposium date & venue
Welcome to a 3-day Symposium on FH, taking place from Friday November 25- Sunday November 27, 2016 at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Centre in Warsaw, Poland.
Who should attend?
This 3-day course is organised by EAS-FHSC and is targeted towards physicians, researchers and others involved in the screening, diagnosis and management of patients with familial hypercholesterolaemia.
A preliminary Programme for the Symposium is available.
The programme is structured to include Plenary lectures & interactive discussion Workshops, and we are pleased to include the leaders in the FH field as participating faculty.
The programme features topics including epidemiology, genetics, diagnosis, screening, FH in children, management of FH patients, registries, therapeutic strategies, implementation of guidelines, severe & Homozygous FH.
Integral to the Programme are case-study discussion sessions - stimulating exchange of scientific knowledge and practical & organisational experience. These sessions give attendees the opportunity to compare and evaluate the management of FH patients from different European perspectives, and share best practice.
In conjunction with the Symposium we will hold a Central & Eastern European Key Opinion Leader Summit, at which we will identify & address the major issues that face these regions in the diagnosis & treatment of FH, and develop initiatives to tackle them.
EAS-FHSC collaborates to establish an international network, to share between countries their experiences, best practices and essential information about FH.

Travel arrangements & accommodation
Delegates should make their own travel arrangements. Accommodation at the Symposium venue & recommended hotels will be available soon.
The course will be accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC).
EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
