The mission of DIAMAP is to undertake a wide survey of the current European diabetes research landscape, from which expert opinion can identify gaps and highlight strengths, to guide a Road Map strategy for diabetes research in Europe.

HDL Forum is a website that provides up-to-date information on high density lipoproteins (HDL). The editorial board consists of several highly regarded, international experts who have played key roles in many of the recent studies that have led to major advances in the field. News reports from recent meetings, links to websites for upcoming meetings, and the latest guidelines are also featured.

In addition to presenting easily understandable reports from the editors on recent clinical trials and meta-analyses, HDL Forum also offers reader-friendly summaries and commentaries on key, basic scientific advances in HDL biology.

For visitors who are not totally familiar with the topic, the website also contains a simple introduction to HDL and a comprehensive glossary which explains key, frequently used terms.

Cardiovascular GOA Initiative

The Cardiovascular Gene Ontology Annotation Initiative represents a collaboration between University College London and the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI), funded by the British Heart Foundation.  This annotation group is a member of the GO Consortium.

The site provides access to a variety of tools to enable cardiovascular scientists to review the annotation of their 'favourite' gene and suggest information that may be missing, inaccurate or incomplete in these annotations.

GO annotations can be viewed at the Gene Ontology Consortium Wiki. Once registered as a user, it is possible to suggest GO annotations or papers to be used for annotation, directly on these wiki pages.
For further information visit the Cardiovascular Gene Ontology Annotation Initiative website.
