A note of thanks from the organizers

We have been delighted with the response we have received during and following EAS 2012 – overwhelmingly positive feedback on all aspects of the Congress.

We set out to make the 80th EAS Congress in Milano a forum for exchange of scientific ideas. Our aim was to bring people together to promote interaction and discussion - between clinicians and basic scientists, and between early-career and established investigators.

Ca. 1700 delegates registered, the attendance in all of the sessions was exceptionally high, and the poster exhibition, especially the moderated poster sessions, was the focus of intense interaction and scientific discussion.

We achieved our aim.

This is due in large part to the quality of science presented at the Congress. The local organizing and scientific programme committees invested much time and energy in the creation of the programme. We sought out the highest-calibre speakers and distinguished poster moderators, whose engagement and enthusiasm set the standard of scientific discussion throughout the whole meeting.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all who attended EAS 2012. Our success is due to your participation.

We hope you found your visit to Milano stimulating and enjoyable, and we look forward to seeing you next year in Lyon!
