EAS Congresses

The EAS organizes an annual 3-day scientific Congress, attended by approximately 2 500 scientists and clinicians, in a different European country each year, in close collaboration with the National Society of the host country. Each Congress features plenary sessions with lectures given by distinguished speakers, in-depth workshops on selected topics, and a wide variety of symposia and satellites on various issues in the field.

Since its inception, the EAS has held 78 Congresses and various Workshops throughout Europe. Past Congresses have been held in Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Israel, France, Austria, Spain, Czech Republic, Finland and Turkey; this year’s Congress takes place in Germany. The Congress provides a forum for exchange of knowledge between EAS members and others, strengthens the links between EAS and the host country’s National Society, and shows the truly European character of the EAS.
