How the EAS work for its members?

In the field of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, the EAS works to:

  • Organize Congresses, Educational Workshops and Symposia
  • Support young researchers and clinicians with Travel Grants and Awards
  • Collaborate with other investigators;
     
    • related organizations, notably IAS and ESC
    • the National Atherosclerosis Societies of Europe
       
  • Bring together relevant expert opinions and cutting edge research findings
  • Develop jointly the European Guidelines on Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in Clinical Practice, in collaboration with ESC and ESH
  • Organize Working Groups and Task Forces to evaluate ongoing needs in priority areas for EAS, e.g., nutrition, plaque imaging, prevention of CVD, evolving technologies… 
  • Formulate strategies to respond to these needs on a pan-European basis
